Thrift Store Find: Handmade Stoneware Pots

Alex and I make it a habit to shop at and donate to our local Goodwill stores on a regular basis. I was visiting one of our local stores last Sunday when I spotted some gorgeous handmade stoneware. As soon as I saw it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!

I've been seeing succulent arrangements all over my Pinterest feed lately, partially due to the fact that one of my friends from high school now works as a creative assistant at Rolling Greens Nursery in Los Angeles. I'm not a very experienced gardener, but she told me that succulents are pretty easy to keep alive, so I decided to give them a shot.

I picked up these two succulents at Ikea for only $2.99 each. It just so happened that they were the perfect size for my stoneware pots, so I just wiggled them out of their plastic containers and plopped them right in!

The stoneware pots were only $0.99 each at Goodwill, so I spent less than $5 on each of these potted plants! I also scored two mugs, a candle holder, a bowl, and another tiny planter, all for a total of $9.93.

  2. I was so inspired by your that I got the cute one that looks like a Jade plant and put it on my dining table in a cool ceramic pot with sea shells on the dirt. I love it. It makes me smile.
